The city of San Luis and the San Luis Chamber of Commerce via Economic Development Corporation have established a professional service contract for economic development. San Luis is a growing community located in the southwestern corner of Arizona,immediately adjacent to both Mexico and California. In a 20 mile radius you are in four states and two countries: Baja California and Sonora ( Mexico) and California and Arizona (USA).
Situated at an elevation of approximately 140 feet above sea level, San Luis was established in 1930,in conjunction with the opening of the U.S. Port of Entry. Since its incorporation in 1979, San Luis has experienced tremendous population and commercial growth, making it one of the fastest growing communities in Yuma County. *Estimated population within a 75 mile radius is around 2,000,000.
Estimated population of San Luis by the year 2015 will be approximately 50,000.
Sister city of San Luis R.C. Sonora, Mexico, has an estimated population of over 250,000.
